Birthday Celebration: Support The Safe Space Fund

As I celebrate my birthday on December 3, I am dedicating the entire month to protecting and healing survivors – because hope and action must go together.

Through my work, I have seen a heartbreaking reality: countless women and girls are suffering in silence, often harmed by the very people they trust. Our social systems make it difficult for victims to escape abusive environments, forcing many to remain trapped, afraid, and unheard.

This month, we are raising support to complete and furnish a Safe Space that will offer round-the-clock services — counselling, protection, and emergency assistance for vulnerable individuals with nowhere else to turn. This space will give survivors what every human deserves: safety, dignity, and a chance to rebuild.

I am a survivor of what was meant to break me, and today I speak for those who cannot — those silenced by stigma, tradition, and fear. Your support, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving survivors a lifeline and a fresh start.

Thank you for standing with survivors. 💛
